Honey (Yum!)

6, 12 & 24 oz  Honey Jars

Delicious Mixed Floral Honey
As our honeys are naturally derived, honey color availability is dependent on what the bees produce and vary with the season.

Light amber to dark amber in color with mild floral overtones, this honey is delicious in fruit and vegetable salad dressings. It is also wonderful in baked goods , delightful on toast or home-made biscuits, and makes an excellent table honey.

Storage Tips for Honey

Honey is the only food that never spoils! Keep your honey at room temperature. A natural process called crystallization may take place over time—it is still good to use—in fact, many people love it this way. If you would like a less sugary tasting honey, simply place your jar in warm water and stir gently. Be careful not to scorch or burn honey.

Keeping Locally

Backyard Bees wants to promote local honey. You may order honey and pick up directly from us... just give us a call at 1.800.476-5105

We think it’s good for people to eat food that is produced close to where they live. Also, buying honey from Backyard Bees helps support future honeybee rescues.

Mixed Floral Honey

Backyard Bees Keepers are lucky to be in Southern California where mild weather conditions allow honeybees to visit flower blossoms all year long. We harvest honey in spring, summer, and autumn. Each season brings a host of honey flavors and colors. Typical foraged blossoms include: citrus (orange, lemon & lime), Native Herbs (sage, rosemary, marjoram), clover, pumpkin and other squash, goldenrod, avocado, pepper tree and a variety of wild and domestic flowers.
